Do you know what sucks?

What sucks is.... when you have a doctors appointment at 9:30 in the morning and don't end up getting out of the office until 12:30 in the afternoon. I even left early, to drop the girls off to go fishing with their Grandpa and to get to the office 15 minutes before my appointment time.

You know what else sucks? What else sucks is.... that it's taken so long to get your blood drawn and have your EKG, that by the time you're done, the doctor is gone to lunch so you have to leave WITH NO ANSWERS!!

I'm not a happy camper today.

Empty Head

You'd think that after being gone for.... how long? That's I'd actually have something to blog about, right? Wrong. I've got absolutely nothing.

I figured I could tell you that I read six books while the computer was in the shop, but that wouldn't take up much time or probably be very interesting for some of you. I suppose I could review said books, but you should all know by now that I'm too lazy for that shit.

For those of you itching to know:

Dean Koontz -- The Taking

Dean Koontz -- Velocity

Dean Koontz -- The Mask

Stephen King -- The Long Walk

Stephen King -- Cell

John Saul -- Black Creek Crossing

I could tell you of the nurse named Harold who used my stomach as a dart board to give me a shot of something to keep me from getting blood clots in my legs, but again, that would only entertain a few. I hear the snickers already. No Dianne, I did NOT punch him in the face, although I wanted to, really bad.

I guess I could tell you how freaking clean my house is.... well, except for that one spot on the kitchen floor that my son hosed down with OFF. He's drifting off to sleep as we speak, so soon even that spot will be nothing more than a memory.

I don't even have anything planned for "Friday Goodies" tomorrow. You'll be lucky to get a pic of Bea Arthur naked, at this rate. Geriatric porn.... review that RockDog!

Guess What?

The Bitch Is Back - Elton John Did you guess? That's right.... I'm sitting AT HOME on my very own computer. Are you as excited as I am? Probably not, I'm pretty lame and easily amused.

Thank you Mr. King, Mr. Koontz and Mr. Saul for keeping me entertained while it was away.

After all this time and me patiently waiting, the problem we sent the computer off for, wasn't actually the problem. Bastard. Anywhoodle, it's back now, that's all I care about.

To elaborate on the hellacious storm that blew through here a few weeks ago.... we had torrential rains, hail and winds up to nearly 100 miles per hour. The wind and lightening did some crazy damage to trees and homes all over the area and nearly 200,000 people were without power. We were lucky, our power was only out about 16 hours, my mom and step-dad were without power for three days and my in-laws were without power for five days. We had approximately 800 different power companies come in from eight different states to help restore power and people are STILL cleaning up debris. It was nuts.

Some of you asked about my hospital stay.... no, it wasn't that bad and I can't complain about the food because I didn't actually eat any. I drank my food the entire time I was there. Mmmm liquid diet. The pain meds were kick ass though and did some fucked up shit to my dreams. A word of advice.... don't start a movie (Die Hard) right before your next round of pain meds because you'll dream about your two year old son running across the lawn, butt naked, screaming "YIPPE KIYAY MOTHERFUCKER!" *giggle*

The husband is down and out now with pneumonia. He's been off work since Thursday of last week and ended up in the ER Saturday because he was having shortness of breath. Today is his follow up appointment and he's feeling pretty good other than some chest pressure from all the coughing. Hopefully he'll get the all clear from the doc and can go back to work. You all know how much he screws things up when he's home! (kidding honey, no really!)
